Land Cover post 2023

Use Restriction: This land cover data may not be used for the purpose of creating, training, improving, modifying, validating, testing, or evaluating machine learning algorithms, or otherwise leverage the product for the purposes of machine learning for a period of five years from its date of creation. High Resolution Phase 1  products include several separate thematic data layers. This data  focuses on 1-meter impervious, canopy, and water feature layers for all U.S. coastal areas. The only exception to this is the Mid-Atlantic region where NOAA is coordinating efforts with data being produced by the Chesapeake Conservancy. NOAA s long term goal is use this national data as a foundation for a more complete scheme of C-CAP land cover (as seen in our Phase 2 products).
